“UNBRALESA is the Brazilian chapter of GESA/LESA, an organization that exists all over the world and emerged from the UN Development Group’s Joint Guidance Note of 2004.

UNBRALESA was founded in 2007 by a group of spouses of international staff, with the approval of the UN Country Team. Since then, the association has focused its work on bringing together expatriate United Nations families.

We provide a space for spouses and partners to interact and share ideas, and we give support and information about our host country and the city of Brasilia. We also work to facilitate the transition of expatriate spouses into the workplace, by sharing information on available jobs and bringing our talents to the attention of potential employers.”
