When Lúcio Costa planned the city in 1957 he also included a golf course which was inaugurated by President Juscelino Kubitscheck de Oliveira on 21st of April 1960. The golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, one of the greatest golf course designers in the world. Located near the JK bridge on Lake Paranoá, the course features 18 holes with a par 72. The Green Fee is R$250 during the week and R$400 on weekends and public holidays. In addition, you must hire a caddy per group which has to be paid directly. You can also hire a golf cart or electrical scooter. The golf club offers lessons for beginners as well as experienced players. On the golf course you also have a great restaurant called Almeria, overlooking hole 18. The restaurant can be accessed by the general public as well.
