One of the things that can surprise newcomers to Brazil is the meaning of the word motel. In Germany or Australia, you would probably think of somewhere to sleep during a road trip. Here, it generally means somewhere couples go for privacy, intimacy and sex.

I visited Flamingo Motel today, and I can personally recommend it. It was clean, and the experience felt completely private, exactly what you would hope for when spending some uninterrupted time with your partner.

What I liked about Flamingo Motel was straightforward: it was clean, comfortable to be in, and private. Those things matter more to me than elaborate promises in an advertisement.

There are also different options depending on how adventurous, or indulgent, you feel.

That is where the Brazilian motel concept becomes particularly interesting. You can turn a few hours together into a small escape without organising an entire weekend away.

If you are curious about Brazilian motel culture, or simply want some private time with your partner, Colorado is worth considering. My visit left me with a positive impression, and I would happily recommend it.
