Viveiro Pau-Brasília is a delightful nursery that takes its name from the indigenous Pau-Brasil tree and is conveniently located at the entrance of Lago Norte. Here, you'll find an extensive array of indoor and outdoor plants, fertilizers, garden ornaments, aromatic herbs, and spices. The display area is not only the store itself, but also the huge area in the back where you find most of the outdoor plants, scrubs and potting mix and ornamental stones.

The staff at Viveiro Pau-Brasília are not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, ready to assist you with any gardening inquiries you may have. And if you after a product or plant they don’t stock, they will give you advise where to find it.

The owner, Nicholas Behr, is a renowned poet and author with several published books under his belt. As a bonus treat, he hosts poetry readings regularly at the nursery, creating a unique and artistic ambiance.

Nicholas Behr is also fluent in German, English, and French. If you're lucky enough to cross paths with him, or just ask for him, during your visit, don't hesitate to strike up a conversation. He is always more than happy to chat with visitors and share valuable advice on all things related to gardening.

The next store besides Viveiro Pau-Brasília has a very good coffee shop at the back which serves great coffee and snacks. And don’t forget to visit Espaço Aroeira at the back of the nursery complex with it’s charming artisan shops like a bakery, clothes shops, art spaces to name a few.
