Tucked away in CLN 413 in Asa Norte, Cruls Boteco feels very much like one of those neighborhood bars people discover through friends and then keep returning to.
The place is small, relaxed, and unapologetically focused on beer. They only serve their own craft brews, produced by Cruls Cervejaria in the rural area of Santa Maria in the Distrito Federal. The beer menu changes enough to keep things interesting, ranging from more traditional styles like Lager, Weissbier, and IPA to more experimental creations — including things like pumpkin beers, fruity combinations, and their surprisingly famous Rosemary and Tomato Gose, which sounds strange until you actually try it. 😄
One thing many people like is the informal atmosphere. Cruls itself does not prepare food, but they have arrangements with nearby restaurants, so customers can order from surrounding places and have the food delivered directly to their table at the bar. Which honestly works perfectly for groups where nobody can agree on what they want to eat.
Since opening in 2017, the brewery has quietly built a strong reputation in Brasília’s craft beer scene and has picked up several national and international awards along the way. You will also often find their beers at festivals, events, and bars around the city.
The owner, Pedro, gets mentioned quite a lot by foreigners because he speaks excellent English and is known for chatting with customers and making people feel welcome rather than simply running the place like a business.
Overall, Cruls Boteco feels less like a polished trendy beer bar and more like the kind of spot where people settle in for “just one beer” and somehow end up staying the entire evening.
