No Grao is a simple neighborhood bar in Lago Norte and not sophisticated at all. If you went there during the week, you would find mostly locals hanging around having some drinks and chatting with each other.

But it is a different story on Sunday night from 18:00 onwards. This is when local musicians meet at the bar to play Samba and other Brazilian tunes. And that is when the bar and the parking lot are being taken over by not only locals, but by people from over Brasilia to party and dance the night away. It’s all a bit chaotic, but that is part of its charm.

There is no cover charge to listen and dance to the music and the beverage prices are very low. They serve only pizza, which is ok, but you can always get some food from the Ilha Dos Pães bakery that is two stores down.

Great place to go on Sunday nights and meet some very friendly and welcoming locals.
