Located at the northern end of Asa Norte near CLN 214, Parque Olhos d'Água is one of the most popular urban parks in Brasília and a favorite green escape for residents living in the surrounding apartment blocks.
Covering around 21 hectares, the park offers a peaceful natural space right in the middle of the city, with a walking and jogging track of approximately 2 kilometers winding through native cerrado vegetation, small lakes, and shaded areas.
The park is open daily from 6:00 to 20:00 and entrance is completely free, making it an easy and accessible option for anyone wanting fresh air, exercise, or simply a break from the concrete surroundings of Brasília.
Parque Olhos d’Água is especially busy on weekends when locals come to walk, jog, stretch out on the grass, meditate, enjoy picnics, or simply relax under the trees. Despite being located in the middle of a densely populated area, the park manages to maintain a calm and laid-back atmosphere.
Bicycles and pets are not permitted inside the park, helping preserve the peaceful environment for walkers and runners. There are also public exercise areas with outdoor fitness equipment for those wanting a more active visit.
Outside the main entrance near CLN 214, you will usually find coconut water vendors — because in Brasília, almost every outdoor activity eventually involves coconut water.
Another major advantage of the area is its location. Just next to the park, around CLN 413, you will find a lively collection of bars, cafés, and restaurants that are popular with both Brazilians and Brasília’s expat community. This makes the park an excellent place to combine a morning walk or afternoon exercise session with brunch, coffee, or drinks afterward.
For anyone staying in Asa Norte, Parque Olhos d’Água is one of the nicest spots in the city to slow down, breathe a little, and enjoy Brasília’s surprisingly green side.
